Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe watermelon chunks seeds removed
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice about 3–4 lemons
  • 2 –3 cups cold water or sparkling water
  • 2 –3 tbsp honey sugar, or stevia (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes or watermelon ice cubes for serving
  • Fresh mint or lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Cut watermelon into chunks and remove seeds.
  • Blend the watermelon until smooth. Strain through a sieve if you prefer a smoother juice.
  • Juice lemons and add to the watermelon juice in a pitcher.
  • Stir in cold water or sparkling water to dilute to taste.
  • Add sweetener if desired, then chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Serve over ice or watermelon ice cubes. Garnish with mint and lemon slices.

Notes

No Sugar Version: Skip sweeteners or use stevia/monk fruit.
Slushie Variation: Freeze watermelon cubes, then blend with lemon juice and ice.
