Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Pitcher
  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice from about 4–6 lemons
  • ½ cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lemon slices & strawberry halves for garnish

Instructions

  • Blend strawberries with 1 cup of water until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry purée, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, then serve over ice with lemon slices and strawberries

Notes

For sparkling strawberry lemonade, replace 2 cups of water with sparkling water just before serving.
To make a gallon, multiply all ingredients by 3.
Use honey, agave, or simple syrup instead of sugar for a natural sweetener option.
Freeze strawberry purée in ice cube trays for quick single-serve lemonade later.
