Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 green tea bag or 1 tsp loose-leaf green tea in an infuser
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick or ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Juice of ½ fresh lemon
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey skip for zero-calorie version

Equipment

  • 1 Mug or cup
  • 1 Teaspoon
  • 1 Small grater or microplane (for ginger)
  • 1 Kettle or pot to heat water

Method
 

  1. Heat water to just below boiling.
  2. Place green tea, grated ginger, and cinnamon in a mug.
  3. Pour hot water over and let steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bag and cinnamon stick if used.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, and honey if desired.
  6. Sip warm or let cool for an iced version.

Notes
