Equipment

  • Glass or mason jar
  • Small spoon or muddler
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold filtered water
  • Juice of ½ fresh lemon about 1 tablespoon
  • 3 –4 fresh mint leaves
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey for sweetness
  • Ice cubes as desired

Instructions

  • Pour the cold filtered water into your glass or mason jar.
  • Squeeze in the lemon juice.
  • Gently crush the mint leaves with a spoon or muddler to release aroma, then stir into the water.
  • Add honey if using, and stir well.
  • Top with ice cubes and serve immediately.

Notes

Swap lemon for lime or yuzu for variety.
Add grated ginger for a metabolism-friendly twist.
Make a larger batch for the day and keep chilled in the fridge (up to 24 hours).
For a Brazilian variation, add pineapple juice; for a Japanese style, replace water with cold-brewed green tea.
