Equipment

  • Tall glasses
  • Muddler or wooden spoon
  • Measuring spoons
  • Stirring spoon

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 teaspoons sugar or 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 1 cup soda water or sparkling water chilled
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Garnish: lime slices & fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  • Place the mint leaves and lime wedges in a tall glass.
  • Add the sugar or syrup. Gently muddle with a spoon to release the mint oils and lime juice.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour in the chilled soda water or sparkling water.
  • Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish with a lime slice and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a strawberry mojito mocktail, muddle 2–3 strawberries with the mint and lime.
For a blackberry mojito mocktail, use fresh blackberries instead.
Replace sugar with honey, agave, or stevia for a healthier twist.
Use flavored sparkling water like cucumber or lime for a more vibrant fizz.
