Ingredients
  

  • 2 shots fresh espresso strongly brewed
  • 1 oz simple syrup or agave/maple syrup
  • 2 oz non-alcoholic spirit coffee liqueur or vodka alternative
  • Ice for shaking
  • 3 coffee beans for garnish

Equipment

  • Martini glass
  • Espresso machine or French press
  • Fine-mesh strainer

Method
 

  1. Brew two fresh shots of espresso and let them cool slightly.
  2. Add espresso, syrup, and non-alcoholic spirit to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds to create froth.
  4. Strain into chilled martini glasses using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. Garnish with three coffee beans or a dusting of cocoa.
