- 1 ripe but firm banana
- 1 teaspoon raw honey
- A pinch of sea salt (preferably flaky or mineral-rich)
- Optional: ½ teaspoon coconut oil or ghee for cooking
Instructions
- Peel and slice the banana lengthwise or into thick rounds.
- Heat a small skillet over medium heat and add coconut oil or ghee if using.
- Place the banana slices flat-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes until lightly caramelized.
- Flip and cook the other side for 1 more minute.
- Drizzle honey over the bananas and let it bubble slightly, about 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.
- Serve warm as-is or spoon over yogurt, oats, or toast.
Notes
Try adding cinnamon or cardamom for warmth, or chopped almonds for texture. For a crispier variation, air fry banana slices with honey at 380°F for 6–7 minutes and add salt after. Perfect for sore throats, post-workout recovery, or cozy snacks.
